History

Since 1929

In the 1920’s, Felipe Imperial started a furniture business known for its quality craftsmanship in then Municipality of Naga. However, due to the lack of a funeral service provider in the area, and the amount of trust placed in Mr. Imperial’s wood working, the local community often came to the furniture house with orders for hand crafted caskets.

Within a few years, it was found that the business was begging be as well known for its furniture as their wooden caskets. It was at this point that Mr. Imperial made the decision to transition his business from furniture to funeral services.

Investing in product stock, equipment and staff education, Cosmopolitan Memorial Homes – the furniture-turned funeral service provider’s new name – quickly became the region’s foremost mortuary and memorial company; a leadership role it has held since.

Funeraria Imperial today

From Cosmopolitan Memorial Homes to Funeraria Imperial, this family-run company has been operating for almost 100 years now. From then to today, never has it lost its focus in improving and innovating in its service offerings.
